Trips and courses take place throughout the desert Southwest, including Arizona, Utah, Nevada, California, and Mexico. Check out the destinations page for a complete list of places we are permitted to guide.
Current Programs and Specials
Spring in the desert is on its way! Tell us where you'd like to go, and we'll make it happen. Private courses run from 2-hour fun sessions to full and multi-day adventures. Prices start at $75 per person for 2 people.
We are now offering courses and private rock guiding in Red Rock Conservation Area (April 18 - 22), and in Moab, Utah (spring or fall). Amazing world class routes in both locations!
Interested in climbing instruction or guiding as a profession? We are now offering the AMGA Single Pitch Instructor Certification Program, the only recognized program worldwide. Contact us to find out more details.
Our Partners
The American Mountain Guides Association is the United State’s sole representative to the International Federation of Mountain Guides Association, the governing body responsible for guiding standards and education.
The Certified Guides Cooperative is a guide-owned, co-op that provides services to AMGA Certified Guides. The CGC provides permit access and requisite insurance for guides to work in specific permit-held climbing areas.
The Access Fund is the national advocacy organization that keeps U.S. climbing areas open and conserves the climbing environment. They support over 2.3 million mountaineering, rock and ice climbers.
Southwest Climbing practices Leave No Trace outdoor ethics, which teaches people to enjoy outdoor activities responsibly. Guides hold certification at the Master Educator level.
Other Stuff
The Reel Rock show, an amazing group of inspiring climbing films, is now on tour! There are upcoming events all over the United States, through Spring 2013. In our hometown, Prescott, we'll be giving away a free rock rescue clinic. Check out a location near you.
